In addition to viewing the calendar online through the PHPiCalendar web server script, you can also subscribe to the calendar if you have an iCalendar compatible application, such as iCal on the Macintosh. Unfortunately Entourage on the Macintosh, Outlook, Outlook Express, Exchange and Lotus Notes on the PC, and Datebook on the Palm use a slightly different format called vCal, or proprietary formats. You can import and export calendars from these applications, as iCalendar files or text files, but only iCalendar type applications use publish and subscribe. As time goes by, it is expected that more applications will become compatible and easy to use with the iCalendar format.
