Adopt-A-Watershed, Hayfork: Adopt-A-Watershed is a K-12 school-community learning experience. Adopt-A-Watershed uses a local watershed as a living laboratory in which students engage in hands-on activities, making science applicable and relevant to their lives. Our purpose is to enhance existing Outdoor School Programs and to help any Local Education Agency that does not already run a Residential Outdoor Science School to begin their own.

Earth Team: A Network of High School Environmental Leaders, Classes and Clubs: On Earth Day, April 22, 2000, half a billion people around the world joined together to put forth new environmental visions for a sustainable future. High school students and youth groups across California's San Francisco Bay Area got a head start by participating in EARTH TEAM. This exciting, new education network is a project of the Bay Area Earth Day coalition. Our purpose is to educate large numbers of students about environmental issues, to inspire them to be environmental change agents and to link them together with Internet communication tools. There is no cost to join the network.
Friends of the River: Friends of the River was founded in 1973 during the struggle to save the Stanislaus River from New Melones Dam. Following that campaign, the organization grew to become California's statewide river conservation group. Friends of the River is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and restoring California's rivers, streams, and their watersheds. The organization accomplishes its mission by providing public education, citizen activist training and organizing, and expert advocacy to influence public policy decisions on land, water, and energy management issues.

World Wildlife Fund - Annual Report: The world's largest independent conservation organization has begun to move beyond promoting awareness of environmental issues to developing practical and sustainable solutions to current and future problems. In the report, the Director General identifies three trends that must be addressed to halt environmental erosion: the widening poverty gap, rapid urbanization, and the growing influence of business and industry over governmental regulation. The annual report is divided into topical sections, each of which outlines relevant WWF conservation efforts, successes, and challenges in different areas, including Brazil, Sea Change, Market Forces, Fresh Water, and Raising Funds.
NEEAP: The National Environmental Education Advancement Project (NEEAP), located at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, is a national organization which aids state and local environmental education leaders in promoting their environmental education efforts, and develops informational items on building state capacity for environmental education. NEEAP is a member of the Environmental Education and Training Partnership (EETAP).
EETAP: With funding provided by the EPA in 1995, NAAEE formed the Environmental Education and Training Partnership (EETAP), a consortium of leading EE organizations and educational institutions. EETAP's member organizations work together to improve and expand existing quality EE training efforts. Over the five-year span of the project, EETAP will train 75,000 professionals from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and other territories.
